FAMILY RUN SINCE 1982

First originated in the Bay Area back in 1982, Kosich Firewood is a three generation family run business. With current operations in Truckee CA covering all of North Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Donner Summit as well as Reno NV covering Reno, Sparks, Verdi and Galena we also have our San Ramon CA location covering the East Bay Area. With 1000's of satisfied customers yearly you will see our service and quality of wood cannot be beat

Our vast supplier contacts up and down the state allow us to secure premium oak, almond and pine for our customers at very competitive pricing. We guarantee our wood will be cut, split, seasoned and measured to the specific amount ordered. Kosich Firewood is a sure bet when looking to fulfill your firewood needs for the upcoming winter season. We are also offering tree work services including tree removal, pruning, defensible space, yard clean up and hauling in the Truckee Tahoe Area.

  • We offer ¼, ½, full and multiple cord orders. We have oak, almond & pine available. We are able to mix cord orders to your request.

  • Stacking is available at an additional cost (NO STAIRS OR SNOW FOR STACKING LOCATION)

TYPES OF FIREWOOD

  • Oak – Hot burning hardwood, typically a bit larger diameter piece that produces a long-lasting bed of coals 

  • Almond - Hot burning hardwood, typically a bit smaller diameter piece that produces hot coals but less ash

  • Pine/ Fir - Softwood that is great for starting fires but does not burn as hot or as long as the hardwoods with little ash 

  • Mixed Hard / Soft allows you to receive both woods in the same order.
